Spa Day at the Hammam Baths

Hello again! With final papers, projects, and exams, it's been so hard catching up on this thing! Thankfully, the worst is over and I can get back to more important things...like telling you guys about the amazing spa experience I had back a month ago in El Aire de Sevilla. I mean, with stunning views like this one who can resist?
Hola chicos!

A couple of months ago, Carlos gave me a treatment pass (because he's the best) for Valentine's Day and I could not have been more excited. Walking into the lobby, you immediately feel greeted with it's beautiful Arab fountain, large cushioned couches, and gorgeous wooden detailing. What's really unique about this spa is that its baths are a restoration of ancient hammams, dating back to Muslim rule in Seville during the 16th century. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by complementary mint tea and then taken upstairs to change into our bathing suits.

The spa has five different types of baths, including one containing salt water and ones with different temperatures. The spa area, which feels completely secluded from the rest of the facility, is pleasantly dimmed with gorgeous hanging lanterns and aromatic candles. You can relax in which ever bath you want or sit in the resting area where they offer iced tea, juices, and water to refresh while you wait for your massage.

After the massage, which was amazing, we were taken upstairs to the outdoor terrance which had a breathtaking view of the Giralda. This new addition to the spa, which opened last year in September, looks like a portrait painting with it's jacuzzi hanging over the city skyline- just stunning!

I didn't think I could love Sevilla more, but this experience definitely proved me wrong. If you're looking for a relaxing way to enjoy the city, I highly recommend this place. Can't wait until the next time I go back!

Have you been to spas while abroad and if so, which ones?

  6. Oh my gosh, I saw the first photo and I just fell in love all over again! I was at this same spa in February as well and I LOVED it. You described everything perfectly! And you were right when you said "just when I thought I couldn't love Sevilla any more", that's how I felt after the spa as well. We went at night and I didn't take any photos, such a bummer now that I think about it, but so glad you also enjoyed it!

  10. I love the picture. It certainly looks like a great place to get some much needed relaxation. I have been to a similar place in one of my travels. I always worried a bit about the cleanliness. I can be a bit of a germ a phobic person so it is always of importance to find a clean place, always./

  11. Wow nice.. Looks like nice place.. I always feel relaxed, renewed, and energized after spa. I know best cheap spas in Manhattan. I couldn’t go wrong with any choice, really, but I am glad that I chose a body treatment for this experience.

  12. This looks like a heavenly place to spend a day. I will definitely be telling my boyfriend about this place, with hopes that he will get the message. To relax in that luxurious looking spa area, would make all the cares in my daily life go away. This is definitely going on my list of things to do soon!
