Treat Yo' Self Thursdays: Indulgences Around the World

Traveling is usually the time where my stomach takes a vacation and whether it's a week or weekend long stay, treating myself becomes the theme throughout my stay. I mean you're only going to be there for a little while, right? Join me as I share my guilty pleasures in 3 major cities around the world!

1) Ralph's Coffee: Located on the second floor of the Ralph Lauren flagship store on 5th Avenue, this place is a great way to escape the bustling crowd of the city, relax and have a good cup of coffee (especially in the middle of January when it's -9 degrees outside!)
2) Eataly: Although I was slightly heartbroken to find out that the Nutella shop had been closed, they do have a small kiosk where you can order bread and Nutella which is absolute perfection!! So simple, yet so good.

1) Chocolateria San Gines: A Madrid classic and in my opinion completely not overrated! Their hot chocolate has a thicker consistency than regular American hot chocolate and their churros are amazingly crunchy in all their fried glory.
2) Terraza Hotel Room Mate Oscar: Rooftop bar with amazing drinks and great vibes. Super chic but the prices are the definition of indulgence- so pricey but a fun hangout spot!
3) The Gourmet Experience at the Corte Ingles: Yummy food stations with a bit of everything and an incredible view of Madrid's iconic Gran Via street. The wine bar there also gives you complementary cheese to go with your wine or champagne- perfect!

1) Georgetown Cupcake: Okay, I am a DC/Northern Virginia native and I personally think there is nothing like these cupcakes- sorry Sprinkles and Baked and Wired! Visiting DC? Order online 24 hours in advance to skip the long touristy line that is ALWAYS in front of the store.

What are your guilty pleasures? Name anything, anywhere in the world!

A special thanks to Nicole for the Treat Yo' Self Thursday link up!

  3. Yum Eatly!! Once of my favorite spots in NY for REAL Italian! Surprisingly I've only been to the 'Gourmet Experience' at Corte Inlgés once.. but probably because there's just so much to eat in Madrid!! Also, those cupcakes look to die for!!
