Starting the last weekend of November (or right after Thanksgiving), the city transforms itself into a Christmas wonderland. Three Reasons on Why It's OK to Travel Repeat

A lot of travelers think visiting a city more than once is a waste of time since they’d rather go somewhere different and knock a city, country, continent off of their bucket list. But what if under certain circumstances you’re in a situation where you revisit a city? A few weeks back I traveled to Milan for the second time to visit my boyfriend’s brother who is studying abroad there. This time however, I was ready to explore Milan with different eyes and after unveiling its elegant backstreets, I learned a few things here and there about traveling to a city twice. Whether you’re visiting a city again by choice, going there to visit someone, or just have a long layover, here are some benefits of “travel repeating."

Getting Over Traveler's Disappointment

I always try to be 100% honest in every post I write, and this one isn't an exception. Over a month ago, Carlos and I jet-setted off for an end of summer getaway to Marseille, France. I had seen pictures throughout the summer of people hanging out somewhere in the South of France by a beach with crystal blue water, strolling through a glamorous port, and sipping on rose all day. One day, while I was sitting in my cold, white-walled office desk, I saw an amazing offer to Marseille and immediately was sold. Weeks before the trip I visioned myself strolling through the picturesque narrow streets while eating numerous croissants, hanging out by a beach under an umbrella, and taking a plethora of pictures. However, stepping off the plane was a completely different story.

Day Trip to Cassis (And How to Get There)

If your story book, quant little Mediterranean coast town existed, Cassis France would be the place. With its adorable boat dock, its narrowed cobble stone streets, and the incredible Calanques park a few steps away, Cassis will charm you away. What I didn't know was how complicated it would be to get there from Marseille without a car (as well as getting back). Stick around to discover all the picturesque corners of this not so hidden gem off the Cote d Azur!

Granada Photo Diary

Going to Granada for the second time with my family reminded me of how spectacular and majestical the city is in every corner and nook. From dinner facing the Alhambra to a family-run tea shop (or teteria), here are some shots taken throughout our time there and their respective locations. Enjoy!

Toledo Sunset Guide

This past September, we were lucky enough to see Toledo for the first time during one of it's magical sunsets. However, before arriving to the medieval city, my family and I were a little overwhelmed with the amount of "restaurants with views" there were and did not want to fall into the classic tourist trap (you know those- the ones with incredible views, skyrocket prices, and not-so incredible food). After a little research, we ended up visiting the Mirador del Valle during sunset and dining at the Restaurant La Ermita. To say the least, it was certainly an incredible evening with an unforgettable gastronomical experience and breathtaking views.

DC Brunch Spots for 3 Types of Foodies

If DC excels at anything (sorry DC teams), it'd definitely be their brunch game. Truth be told that when it comes to brunching, they outshine New York and offer great deals including bottomless drinks and food. Although I'm currently living in Madrid (Madrid, take note), I've had my fair share of DC brunching and accumulated several midday weekend hotspots under my belt! Whether you're going for a more boozy brunch or looking for a fancy-chic setting, there's a brunch scene for every type of foodie out there- so stick around!

Boozy Tinto de Verano

As summer is hitting its ultimate peak, many of us are stuck in the states, hidden behind an office desk (like me), and day-dreaming an escape to somewhere warm- like the Mediterranean. We scroll through our instagram feed during our lunch break and sigh with envy as we see pictures of serene blue coastlines, breathtaking cliffs surrounding Palma de Mallorca, and mouthwatering #instafoodpics of someone's seafood lunch with the caption "fresh catch of the day." Ugh.  But if there ever was a remedy to your summer blues, it'd come in a tall glass of what is famously known as Tinto de Verano.

Old Southern Charm

Although the metropolitan craze in the DC area maybe enjoyable at times, sometimes getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city and heading down south for a day might be all you need to smell fresh crisp air. From the beautiful vineyards in the mountains, to adorable shops in the down down area, Charlottesville is a place to sit down and capture Virginia's version of southern charm.

After countless of debates, arguments, and a few tears in between, I've decided to take a leap of faith, follow my heart, and move to Madrid. Studying abroad in Sevilla last year was one of the most rewarding and happiest moments of my life and I'm so excited to continue my (hopefully never-ending) love affair with traveling.

How to Soak in the Old Sevillano Streets

Last week I had the privilege of being taken back to the city that won over my heart: Sevilla. Returning and getting lost in the Barrio de Santa Cruz, siting in a quaint plazita drinking cafe, and finding a hidden rooftop gem made it easy to soak it all in.

Medieval Segovia

On my first full day in Spain, I was graciously welcomed by brilliant sunshine, moderate temperatures (for American standards- the Spanish would consider it winter!), and the enchantment of the small town Segovia in Castile and Leon, just one hour way from Madrid...

A Williamsburg Wintery Wonderland

Last week wasn't a real week. With 5 inches of snow, I ended up with 2 and a half day week (I know, people from New England are probably shaking their heads and rolling their eyes), so I definitely did not complain! I took the opportunity to do some extra studying take lots of pictures of my beautiful campus covered in a glistening, white blanket of snow. Here at William and Mary, I am most definitely spoiled and here are reasons why:

There's a First For Everything

Hello there! After a long debate on whether or not I should start a blog, here I am! I'm Natalia- as you know by looking at the right side widget. I'm currently a college senior in Williamsburg and graduating in May. You're probably wondering, why are you reading what I'm saying and why should you pay attention?

Well, first, I love food. Prepare to have a plethora of food pics (#instafood) because that's probably 80% why I made this blog...so you're welcome in advance. Whether it's a luxurious 5 star Michelin restaurant or your hole in the wall kebob shack, I am all for it and will devour every last bit. Does anyone look like this when they see their food coming to them at a restaurant or is it just me
